cdklabs-automation force-pushed the github-actions/upgrade-dev-deps-main branch from 8ac6664 to 840d989 Compare July 27, 2026 22:27
The package-integrity tests scaffold projen projects and run
`npx projen build` inside them. The fixtures pinned no versions, so
projen generated "typescript": "*", which now resolves TypeScript 7.x
at test time.

TS 7 is incompatible with the test toolchain: ts-jest (peer
"typescript <7") crashes with "Cannot read properties of undefined
(reading 'readFile')", and @typescript-eslint (peer "typescript
<6.1.0") fails to load. No dist/ is produced and the suite fails,
blocking the auto dependency-upgrade PRs.

Cap TypeScript to ~5.8.0 (satisfies both peers) so the scaffolded
projects build deterministically.
