What

Promotes COBOL from Early Access to General Availability across the docs, ahead of the August 17, 2026 release.

Changes

  • cobol.md — removed the Early Access hint and the Snyk Preview enablement instructions, and dropped the Enterprise-plan restriction box. COBOL is now available on all plans, so plan wording was also removed from the front-matter description.
  • cobol-rules.md — removed the Early Access / plan-restriction box.
  • supported-languages-package-managers-and-frameworks.md — filled in the previously empty matrix cells for COBOL: SCM support ✔️ and Snyk CLI, IDE, CI/CD ✔️.
  • whats-new.md — added an August 2026 entry announcing COBOL GA.

Heads up

📣 A field heads-up is on the way to notify go-to-market/field teams about this GA change — this PR is the docs side of that announcement.

Notes for reviewers

  • Please sanity-check the What's New entry — I matched the existing structure, but flagging in case there's a specific owner/curation process for that page.

Overview
Promotes COBOL Snyk Code from Early Access to GA in user docs, aligned with the August 2026 release.

On cobol.md and cobol-rules.md, the Early Access callouts are removed (Enterprise-only wording, Snyk Preview enablement, and plan limits in the COBOL page description).

The supported languages matrix now marks COBOL with SCM and CLI, IDE, CI/CD as supported (previously blank).

whats-new.md adds an August 2026 entry stating COBOL is GA on all plans across those channels.
