Source docs PR: powersync-ja/powersync-docs#708
Release impact:
docs:, adds a managed tables section and tags and changes no existing contentWhat changed in docs
The docs add managed tables (alpha), a per-table
directoption that stores rows in SQLite columns instead of JSON-backed views for faster queries. They also add guidance on choosing between managed views, managed tables, and raw tables.Skill updates in this PR
skills/powersync/references/raw-tables.md: added a "Managed Tables (Alpha)" section with thedirectflag per SDK, minimum versions, and caveats, a pointer from "When to Use Raw Tables", a table of contents entry, and themanaged-tablesanddirecttags.Notes for reviewer
I put this in
raw-tables.mdinstead of a new file because it is the existing reference for JSON-view alternatives. A dedicated file could be warranted later. I did not mention the new section in the file'sdescriptionorAGENTS.mdandSKILL.mdrouting. The benchmark figures and prepared statement cache details from the docs are left out.
