Synthesis requests now start at 4,000 tokens with one prepriced 8,000-token expansion, while explicit nonterminal finish reasons are classified before empty-content retries. This preserves fail-closed validation and the admitted model roster while preventing reasoning-only length responses from falling into an unrelated short timeout.
