mysql2 not supported #2

btw: which is the "official" gem? there's another one http://github.com/brasten/sequel-rails
may be it's better to merge? :-)

    you do mean the mysql2 gem correct? not the mysql db version 2?

    I've never played around with this driver (nor mysql itself that much). I'll try to play around with this. I think it should be just a matter of detecting the mysql2 name and translate it to use the rails3_sequel mysql adapter. But if you have any insight on the matter, please let me know!

    As for the "official" gem, I wasn't aware of the other project until recently. I haven't looked into what his does and what mine does. but i'll talk to the author about it.

    Yes I meant the mysql2, which is recommended for rails3 with ruby-1.9.2. I'm not an expert neither, but I guess it's as you said and just detecting the name. But the other sequel-rails gem already supports mysql2, so if you merge it won't really matter anway. :-)
