Problem

src/sequentialthinking/index.ts registers the tool as sequentialthinking, but src/sequentialthinking/README.md calls it sequential_thinking in its tool heading and usage text, so someone looking for that name in a client's tool list won't find it.

Expected

The README uses the registered name. The tool itself is not renamed: a published tool name is part of the server's interface.

Prior work

The PR(s) above targeted the pre-refactor code and are closed as part of the backlog triage in #4875; this issue is where the work continues, with the PR(s) as a prototype. Thank you to their authors.

    I have prepared the README update on a branch in my fork:
    Branch: docs/sequentialthinking-readme-tool-name
    Commit: 151cb8d

    Changes

    • Updated src/sequentialthinking/README.md to reference the registered tool name sequentialthinking instead of sequential_thinking.
    • Added patch changeset (.changeset/sequentialthinking-readme-tool-name.md).

    Feel free to cherry-pick or pull from this branch.

    Fixed by #5356, merged into v2/main. Ships in v2.3.0.
