@manulera FWIW, I love the idea of making this project pip-installable and reducing the default dependencies. I think you might get more traction for this PR without the additional dependencies for Docker and the web endpoint. Anyone interested in the project being lightweight and pip-installable likely just wants the core plannotate features without all the visualization and web server bells and whistles. |

The HTML output is incredibly useful for interpretation, but I rarely use the local web server. I understand the authors have constraints in making the package broadly useful while addressing their own (e.g. hosting) needs. |
