Consider adding Editoria11y module #859

Closed

Description

@markconroy

I think editoria11y might be more feature rich than our sa11y module.

I especially like the reports page it creates to let us see what pages have a11y issues.

This is part of Drupal CMS so seems it's promoted as a best practice.

    I'm a fan, it can be extended with custom rules etc too.

    @msayoung yes please, this is heading in the direction of our Insights Community Fund idea. I'll add this to the Priorities board

    Planning 4 Sep - this will be installed in core and not enabled

    Follow up after release

    • Check for errors it finds in our presentation of content (eg skipping a heading level)
    • Documentation for content designers
    • Explain how to add custom rules
    • How to check all pages against new rules (without having to visit/ save them all)

    @willguv Once we have the follow ups completed, I think it would be good to enable this in core by default.
