Repository prerequisites failed one at a time and mostly without codes: connecting showed "Started" and the real reason appeared later, often collapsed to
repository_connection_unconfirmed. Neither people nor agents could see what was missing.A typed readiness check model (status, code, message, next step, fix target) now backs a new
repository.readinessquery (vectis repository readiness, MCPvectis_readiness) and additivedoctorchecks. Connect and readiness share the same GitHub policy checks, and known cloud refusals keep their codes. The desktop shows readiness in the connect dialog with jump-to-fix actions, per repository, in Diagnostics, and guides first-time setup on the Overview. Older services keep working.Validation:
pnpm checkpasses (440 tests). The app was not run against a real home.
