Preparing a Linux environment with 0.3.0 fails at the packages step (
apt-getexit 100). This fix was part of the overnight work but was left out of #109.The preparation script now waits for apt/dpkg locks held by first-boot services, runs apt non-interactively, and tees its output through a log so a failure replays the step's last lines on the console instead of losing them behind the login prompt.
Verified on a real Mac: 0.3.0 failed twice at
step=packages exit=100; the same preparation with this change succeeded.
