Day events moved 1 day in the past

Starting with Thunderbird 140.10.1esr with TbSync 4.16, May 8 2026, when synchronizing from O365, all day events are moved by 1 day in the past. The date is actually not changed on the server.

Support for v4 is EOL. I think it is fixed in v5 already. But it is still a test version:

I just tried it. Added the account, the calendar, synchronized. And nothing shows up in TB's calendar. Tried to synchronize again later, nothing. There is nothing in the event log.

With debug enabled I see some events. These are the 2 last ones:

Recurrence sync is off by default. I probably have to enable that soon. Try if enabling that option in the settings causes them to show up.

It does ! And day events are no longer off by a day. Thanks.

2 minor issues I noticed:

• the email address associated to the calendar is wrong
• (it does not work when I change the calendar color) - actually this looks like a bug in Thunderbird, not TbSync; you have to double-clic on the color instead of selecting it and clicking ok

Another minor thing: there used to be a button on the bottom right to get to TbSync preferences. It is no longer there, so I have to go to the extensions dialog, select TbSync, then click on the preferences and the manger button to get there. Is there another shortcut ?

Can I have more details? A full debug log of a initial down sync and the wrong upsync would be nice. See the event log tab.

Ah, OK. I am hiding that toolbar ever since it was added, because it is generally useless and taking valuable vertical space. That's why I didn't see it.

I prefer not to send that because it would contain personal info. But I don't see any email in the contents of the messages in the log and I don't think the issue is related to the protocol. The problem is that the email you enter when setting up the TbSync account is not the one you get when looking at the TB calendar and choosing the "Properties" menu (for someone with several TB email accounts, it will just pick the first one).

Another issue I am noticing with the new version: I have an event that is cancelled in O365. It appears as not cancelled in TB after synchronization. The status used to synchronize correctly in the previous version.

Adding to the original issue..
For me, this specifically seems to relate to the all-day event's 'show time as' setting. When set to 'free' (the default when creating) it shows up on the correct day. When set to busy it seems to show up 1 day early then when it should. Interestingly, setting it back to 'free' once it's already on the wrong day doesn't cause it to move back to the correct one.

Same initial problem. I just upgraded to v5.0.10, but even after setup and sync (with Sync recurring events / tasks and exceptions enabled), I still don't get anything. As it's syncing each resource, it says "Synchronizing... (0/0)".
