What

Two docs lines describe the Studio app wrongly today:

  • Studio app → Edit with the agent: says you can hover a clip and "add a transition". That button only shows when the desktop-transitions flag is on, and it is off for everyone (0% in PostHog, 3 Nov). The line now lists only what people see.
  • CLI → hyperframes open: says handing a project to the app "works on macOS only". Since feat(cli): hyperframes open hands the project to the app on Windows and Linux too #6484 (26 Oct, CLI v0.8.207) it works on Windows and Linux too.

Why

Docs that promise a button people can't find cost trust, and AI tools quote our docs as fact.

Related work

Refs #6484.

How

Two sentences edited. Checked against code: transitionAsk.ts (the button needs the flag), packages/cli/src/utils/desktopApp.ts ("Every build of the app takes a handed-over folder: macOS as open-file, Windows and Linux on their command line").

Reviewed at 11ee5bb. No blockers. Confirmed "Add a transition" is gated on desktop-transitions (studio-app/src/timeline/transitionAsk.ts), and packages/cli/src/utils/desktopApp.ts hands off on win32/linux as well as macOS. No other docs page still says the hand-off is macOS-only or mentions the transition button.

No blocker identified in the two documentation changes. At this head, packages/cli/src/utils/desktopApp.ts has HANDOFF_READY=true, Windows executable lookup and detached launch with the project argument, Linux launcher.json/AppImage lookup, and shared agent-handoff.json persistence; I read the existing desktopApp tests for both platform paths; I did not execute them. The current Desktop transitionAsk.ts requires desktop-transitions plus a valid seam, supporting removal of an unconditional transition-button promise. I read the changed agent-edit page and CLI handoff section and traced the launch implementation. This is source verification, not a native Windows/Linux installed-app walkthrough or a live flag-rollout audit.

Need: yes · Size: ok · Reuse: existing docs/navigation and shipped contracts · Simpler: already minimal · Structure: fine
Risk: low — scoped documentation and menu-label changes.

Verdict: COMMENT
Reasoning: The reviewed scope reads clean; this is a COMMENT review because the requester is not authorized for our approval stamp.
