Installation fails on Ubuntu 18.04

On a freshly installed Ubuntu 18.04 with the latest nodejs (v8.10.0) and npm (3.5.2) I downloaded the latest multisigwallet entered the directory and ran npm install. It ran for a while and then ended with the following error messages

Can someone guide in the right direction to make it install properly?
