Proposed solution
Agentic CLIs such as GitHub Copilot CLI now run as the main workspace inside the VS Code integrated terminal. The terminal still works like a secondary panel, which makes it hard to move between the editor and the agent. Please make the integrated terminal work like a native terminal and integrate it more closely with the editor:
• Tabbed terminals at the top: show terminal sessions as tabs at the top, like editor tabs, instead of only in the side list of the bottom panel. This would make several agent sessions easy to see and switch between.
• Maximize and restore shortcuts: add one-key shortcuts to maximize, minimize and restore a terminal without closing it or losing its session state.
Together these changes would let developers work with CLI agents as smoothly as with the editor itself.
