hooks are not firing when resuming a session #3575

Closed

Description

@damnskippy

Describe the bug

I have hooks installed for agentStop & notification events among other events. All the hooks fire fine for a new session. However if a session is resumed either via /restart, copilot --continue, copilot --resume, copilot --resume=, or /continue, etc. the hooks no longer fire. I can see the hooks are getting loaded when copilot starts up. But the hook scripts don't get invoked. I've tried ~/.copilot/hooks/.json ~/.github/hooks/.json and putting them directly in copilot settings.json with no luck. Using version 1.0.55. I think this used to work fine in the older versions, but broke somewhere along, not 100% sure now.

    @examon

    This should be resolved in the v1.0.56 release line. I verified that agentStop hooks fire when resuming a session with --continue. If you are still seeing hooks not firing on resume, please comment with your hook config and the exact command you ran and we'll take another look.
