This PR updated the definition so that it is now 2x the statistical uncertainty (systematic uncertainty not in MDSplus) #412 . This is one of many deficiencies of the CER trees and has unfortunately been propagated into OMAS. Hopefully it will be fixed as part of a larger improvement to the data.
Bonus points: @AreWeDreaming suggested creating a known_issues.md for OMAS to help find all of the issues (including this one) that have been documented on GitHub. This is a welcome addition
