Shape of glory🥇 - We pick a kaggle dataset containing a comprehensive historical archive of the modern Olympic Games, spanning from Athens 1896 to Rio 2016 (athlete_events table with 270,000+ entries with noc_regions lookup table). This dataset is complex and needs visualization due to its deep temporal dimension, which captures shifting geopolitical boundaries and the evolution of sporting events over 120 years.
