I'm new to all this. Initially, I was able to figure out that the code had to be updated with the new jQuery method SPFilterNode. I got it to work - Yay!. Then I noticed that I didn't want the entire body of my announcements list to show up on the page because the body size could be huge depending on what my users entered into that field. So I created a field called Snippet - same field type as Body but less lines. The idea was to use this in the slider. I would create a another field which would be a hyperlink. A workflow would run on the announcement list which would create a link to the display form of the announcement in another field. I'd also add this to the slider as well.
However when I add the following to your code:
var bodyHTML = "
" + $(this).attr("ows_Snippet") + "
";
The alert shows undefined where the snippet should be showing. When I use Developer tools in IE9, it shows me that there is a script error in jshowoff.css on the element var.
I'm using jquery-1.8.2.js and jquery.SPServices-2014.01.min.js and I'm on SharePoint 2010.
I was using this as a basis: https://www.nothingbutsharepoint.com/2011/07/11/creating-your-own-content-slider-for-sharepoint-aspx/
I've googled and haven't found anything that could point me in the right direction of getting this next
