## I need to create a new repo, should it be public or private?
(Joe) Wondering if this should be private by default and public when it needs to be public.
Repositories should be private by default. Make a repository public only when there is a clear need for open source, open collaboration, or public documentation, and only after confirming that it contains no sensitive or internal process details/content.

I have assumed that our practice is to make our code public by default (to maximize sharing), but to have no hesitation to create a private repository when we need to manage internal resources.

These changes look good to me. Note my comment about public vs private repos.
