Published head: 17449cd. Tested tree: 9d07e0988da6ef936f8fced16621a3f3861f501a. Current-main history is merged without rewriting earlier contributors' commits; DCO trailers are present on this refresh commit.
Unit suite: 2604 passed / 8 skipped; Ruff, strict mypy (77 files), configured Bandit pass. The documentation merge preserves current-main sealed-key recovery guidance and the MEASUREMENT_UNAVAILABLE note; no runtime behavior changes.
The published tree equals the locally tested tree. Whitespace checks on the contribution delta against current main pass (existing CRLF documentation is preserved). Hosted current-head checks and independent maintainer acceptance remain separate; no merge, production deployment or hardware result is claimed. Earlier measurements below describe their original revisions. Prepared with OpenAI Codex.
Runtime startup can emit MEASUREMENT_UNAVAILABLE, but the normative error registry omits it despite requiring emitted codes to be listed. Document the existing 500/startup fatal behavior and operator guidance: inspect measurement inputs and do not infer TPM replacement or rotate a key merely to suppress this error. #779 explicitly leaves this documentation gap for a separate change.
Add a bounded consistency test for the measurement exception's registry entry and recovery documentation. No runtime, TEE, signing or recovery behavior changes.
Validation: focused pytest passes; restoring the prior registry makes that test fail. Ruff and whitespace checks pass. Full runtime/OS matrix is left to hosted CI; no claim of a fresh full-suite run for this documentation change. Draft for maintainer review. AI-assisted with Codex; DCO signed.
