Zephyr4Microchip

Welcome to Zephyr4Microchip

Zephyr4Microchip brings the Zephyr RTOS ecosystem to Microchip devices, providing a scalable, optimized, and secure real-time operating system for Microchip microcontrollers and microprocessors.

This organization hosts Microchip zSDK. It is a framework that delivers a minimally customized Zephyr distribution, with downstream modules and Microchip libraries.

Getting Started

See the Getting Started Guide documentation to start developing with Microchip zSDK.

Microchip zSDK Repositories

  • microchip-zsdk - Microchip zSDK is the top-level manifest repository. It bundles documentation, demo/sample apps, scripts, out-of-tree drivers and board support; trims unrelated HAL modules to keep the workspace lean.
  • microchip-zephyr - This is the downstream fork of open-source zephyr. It is for early device enablement, patches pending upstream review and contents not upstreamed.
  • microchip-hal - This is the downstream fork of hal_microchip with ATDF device packs and SoC pinctrl definitions. The major use-case for this repository is also the early device enablement.
