Connection default is not configured #2

Description

@tomcat65

[cli.logs]
save_logs = true
path = "C:\Users\TOMAS\.snowflake\logs"
level = "info"
This is my config.toml:
[connections]
default_connection_name = "modern_data_engineering_snowflake"

[connections.modern_data_engineering_snowflake]
account = "PYXXXXX-KRBXXXXX"
user = "MyUser"
password = "MyPasword"
warehouse = "COMPUTE_WH"
database = "LOAD_DATA"
schema = "PUBLIC"
role = "ACCOUNTADMIN"

When trying CLI
I keep getting error:

    @MaxHoecker

    I used the "snow connection add" command and that worked for me. Specifically, it created the config file under %USERPROFILE%\.snowflake\connections.toml despite the official docs saying that it should be under %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\snowflake\config.toml

    incorrect docs here: https://docs.snowflake.com/en/developer-guide/snowflake-cli/connecting/configure-cli#location-of-the-toml-configuration-file

    @MaxHoecker How and where you add the e "snow connection add" command? I got the same error: Connection advanced_data_engineering_snowflake is not configured

    @amod-upadhye

    @fahadqadiir - Just execute snow connection add command in the terminal. The CLI will prompt you to enter various parameters for your new connection.

    @rvollmarsb

    I resolved this by renaming my connection in the toml file to "[connections.default]". The "list" command seems to want something called "default" even though other commands work fine without one called "default".

    @peto247

    I have had the same problem. Thank you, guys, for sending me the correct direction.
    I have found my settings in

    C:\Users\peter\AppData\Local\Packages\PythonSoftwareFoundation.Python.3.13_qbz5n2kfra8p0\LocalCache\Local\snowflake\config.toml

    file, instead of the C:\Users\peter\AppData\Local\Snowflake\config.toml file.

    And shame on Snowflake for such a mess!!!

    @a-nayan

    There is connection.toml file in the same folder ie .snowflake, and I added below details in the file. It worked for me.

    [connections.modern_data_engineering_snowflake]
    account = "PYXXXXX-KRBXXXXX"
    user = "MyUser"
    password = "MyPasword"
    warehouse = "COMPUTE_WH"
    database = "LOAD_DATA"
    schema = "PUBLIC"
    role = "ACCOUNTADMIN"

    @jgGit25

    Or you can also set

    snow connection set-default modern_data_engineering_snowflake
