macOS releases currently fall back to ad-hoc signing or signed apps without notarization when Apple-ID password credentials are missing. Use the shared organization Developer ID certificate and App Store Connect API key instead, and require Gatekeeper and stapler validation.

The API private key is written to a restricted temporary file and removed after the build. Apple-ID password authentication and ad-hoc fallback are removed.

Validation: workflow YAML, diff checks and PR checks passed. Native Apple Silicon and Intel macOS builds passed signing, notarization, Gatekeeper, stapler validation and the bundled whisper transcription check.
