The goal of this project is to have a simple web app that reads transcripts/notes and generates quizzes. Created for a final project exploring the use of LLMs for active learning.
- Paste notes
- Automatically generate quiz questions
- Get immediate feedback & quiz score
This tool makes use of the Feyman Technique: taking notes as if someone else will see it or like you're teaching it to someone else will result in higher quality quizzes and learning.
This tool works best with notes that are formatted like an outline with clear definitions and explanations, so users are incentivized to take better notes.
The quality of the quiz depends on the quality of your notes.
This tool is best used after lecture (to reinforce learning) and to identify weak areas/concepts before studying for bigger exams. It can generate different questions based on the same notes, so users can keep actively engaging with the material through variation.
AI lets you engage with the material without penalty so users can get immediate feedback and learn from their mistakes.
- haven't tested with language learning because token counts differ across languages
- not greatest option for math questions but best suited for definitions & conceptual questions
