bookmarklets-collection

Overview

This is a collection of small scripts that are added as bookmartlets in your web browser, to be easily accessed for generating random data. These have been used predominantly for testing.

The Files

Comparison

A popup window will be displayed asking for the first value and then the second respectively.

Interaction

With text selected on a webpage, you can click this bookmarklet & it will change all of the text to lowercase.

Random Data Values

These use a popup window to display the values that have been automatically copied to the clipboard.

Tracking

Simply gives you the total values of each in a popup window.


How To Use

Method #1 (Chrome Example)

  • Click the kebab menu (three dots) at the top right
  • Navigate to Bookmarks & Lists > Bookmark Manager
  • Click the kebab menu (three dots) at the top right of the page
  • Click add a new bookmark
  • Enter a name
  • Paste the JavaScript code into the URL input field
  • Save
  • Navigate to the bookmark and click
  • The bookmartlet is activated

Method #2

  • Save a bookmark from any page in your preferred web browser
  • Edit the bookmark
  • Enter a name
  • Paste the JavaScript code into the URL input field
  • Save
  • Navigate to the bookmark and click
  • The bookmartlet is activated

These have only been tested in Chrome.
