@ddunkin Rather than add the types information directly to the project, there's a great resource for adding types to existing packages in https://github.com/DefinitelyTyped/DefinitelyTyped.

DefinitelyTyped is a great option if types can't be included in the library package. The preferred method is to include the types in the package so they can be easily versioned together and don't require the consumer to install a separate package.
