devin-devkit

The installer/distribution tool: turns the devin-powerups registry into selectable installation profiles for Linux, Personal Windows and Corporate Windows.

Why it exists

The ecosystem is 19 tools. DevKit is the single entry point that installs the right subset per machine profile — each Python app in an isolated uv environment, the Node bridge via npm.

Install

pipx install devin-devkit
# then:
devin-devkit list
devin-devkit install --profile <profile>

Requires Python 3.10+ unless noted. Linux, Personal Windows and Corporate Windows are supported; see the repo's platform READMEs for differences.

Core commands

Command What it does
devin-devkit list show the catalog of installable tools
devin-devkit profiles list install profiles (linux / personal-windows / corporate-windows)
devin-devkit install --profile <p> install the selected profile

What it touches

Writes: isolated uv environments for each tool; npm install for devin-bridge only. Does NOT touch: Devin settings, session databases, Slack/Obsidian/VM services.

Limitations

  • Corporate Windows profile is local-only by design: no tunnels, no VM, no delegation.
  • The installer previews before changing anything.

Unofficial community project. Not affiliated with Cognition AI. Part of the devin-* ecosystem.
