- the thread creation and recycling was not being handled symmetrically - this fix is based off of these two PR: DImuthuUpe#824 and #2
- Fix the "Could not find the AndroidManifest.xml file, using generation folder after Android Annotations" error when compiling the sample android application
- use a forked version of pdfium android which is built without old support libraries. This allows us to remove jetifier - this version of pdfium android has a min sdk version 19 and removes mips support
- disable jetifier as all dependencies (pdfium android) have been migrated as well
