Preliminary Checks

  • I have read and understood the important section above.
  • I have searched existing issues and avoided creating duplicates.
  • I am not filing an enhancement request.
  • I have checked that this issue cannot be reproduced on Mozilla Firefox.
  • I have checked that this issue can be reproduced once I removed all my Mods and Custom CSS.

What happened?

When the sidebar is collapsed with Cmd+Shift+C, my 1password extension's keyboard shortcut (Cmd+.) used to work fine to pull up the extension's popup window. As of a recent update (sometime within the last month), it now doesn't work. Occasionally, pressing Cmd+. flashes the sidebar open very briefly, as if it's trying to do something, but it immediately disappears without showing any popup. Sometimes pressing Cmd+. has no visible effect at all.

Opening the sidebar again results in the shortcut functioning normally and the popup appearing.

I assume this will be reproducible with other extensions that have a popup window, but I haven't tried any others.

Expected behavior

The 1password extension popup window appears with its Cmd+. shortcut, even with the sidebar collaped

Actual behavior

The 1password extension popup window does not appear with the sidebar collapsed

Steps to reproduce

  1. Install the 1password extension
  2. Collapse the sidebar
  3. Attempt to open the 1password extension with Cmd+.
