Expected behaviour

Resizing and moving windows should not be a problem on a newly installed system, nor in a virtual machine.

Actual behaviour

When resizing or moving a window, Thunar stutters, and occasionally the entire system freezes and becomes unusable. This appears to be an old bug. Similar reports surfaced on Reddit five years ago. (https://www.reddit.com/r/voidlinux/comments/ljkt5o/thunar_freezes/)

Steps to reproduce

1. Open thunar file manager
2. resize or move the window
   or
3. open ,e.g., a terminal window
4. open thunar file manager
5. resize or move the terminal window
