I have to add that I tried to prod existing system but it seems like Creature-based arena teams would require a separate arena team system which will end up extremely entrusive

I understand, well, thanks for trying anyway. Perhaps you can come up with an acceptable solution in the future, that would be great.
I would like to collaborate, but sadly, even though I can code in C++, I don’t really know the emulator API.

What would it take to make AI's play in their own arena teams, where these AI's differ in competence (1.5-3k+ ratings). I wasn't able to find any 3.3.5/wow frameworks in the open. I'm thinking how about teaching AI strategy initially by having them watch arena tournament matches and vods. I'm thinking feed them videos from r1 players, make them understand what's good, why decisions were made. I'm thinking let them battle against each other for 10,000 hours so they learn how to position / how to strategize. I'm thinking I'm fucking dreaming.

The point is, nothing "pathway like" will do it. The bots would have to actually LoS and do strats to be anything competent -- and also not, to be approachable for lower ratings. You can't really script an AI to play RMP. There's a HUGE enormous difference between 1.5-3k+, all the way through -- no singular "ai script" can fill that gap. It'd have to be actual individual agents behind each character, each with their own "visions". Otherwise, a new player wouldn't stand a chance against a "good" script, whereas a glad will find them too rigid/abusable.

I have to take back my previous wish, I don't think that arenas would be anywhere enjoyable until the bots are away from scripted behaviour. Anything scripted will be fresh for 2 hours in an arena and then be a stale/abusable stinky crap. The bots would have to be unique and ultimately off-script to be anything arena-like, nothing scripted can fill that gap, not for anything more than a few hours anyway.

So here's my wish, let somebody more clever than me figure out how to make a wow AI actually autonomous (similar to e.g. alphastar from sc2). Then arenas would make a tad more sense.¨¨

And on and on indefinitely it goes. All these plays are from high level players. Can npcbots suffice for 1500? Sure. Can they fill the gap between 1350-3000? No. There is no amount of scripting you can do to make bots feel like "arena players". Arenas are, in the current form, completely out of possibilities until someone (not me no I very much can't) can figure out how to create actual neural net bots that do something "similar" to what players would. And even if they could, they wouldn't, because they practice vs themselves, not players, so the actual result would be inhuman anyway. Drop it. No. Bots and areas no. Can't be done.

(Also every human comp plays the comp a little different, with different strats/preferences, and also ilvl plays a huge part, different starts between s5-s8-iccbullshitrscrap; point is, not one rmp plays like the other, normally there is a general strat yes but then there are some touches you need to adapt to, not one game feels like the other, can't script that, can't)
