What is the size of the engine? 4.2

Hi everyone, I want to try Stride but before downloading it, I want to know the size of the engine. How can I see the download size of a version?
Also, can I use it with VS Code?

We don't have the exact metrics. The installer and downloader are quite small.

But then most of the actual code is packed into nuget packages. So the total download size is roughly the sum of all packages named Stride.* on nuget for a given version.

Hi, on a fresh Windows 10 VM, the sizes for the latest version (4.3.0.2507) are

• Setup is 54 MB
• Launcher is 160 MB
• Nuget packages are about 2.5 GB (including depedencies)

You can exclude the launcher and setup, and run Stride.GameStudio directly.

And yes, you can use VS Code with Stride, as you'd work with any .NET project. The only issue is generating code for shaders, but it is possible to manually edit it yourself.
