Can't search Reference Work QCBX in browse in forms (when citation subviewisBtn=false) #8386

Description

Describe the bug
A clear and concise description of what the bug is.

When using browse in forms, the reference work query combo box in a citations subview can't be searched. Typing a common phrase like "the" pulls up no results. The issue applies to all citation types.

The reference work qcbx functions as expected when

  1. viewing the entire form (i.e., outside of browse in forms), or
  2. the citation subview is rendered as a button, or
  3. the citation subview otherwise accessed in a dialog (CO > taxon > taxon citation)

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Ensure that
  • CO Citations are rendered as a subview on the CO forms
  • there are existing Reference Work records
  1. Query Collection Objects
  2. Click Browse in Forms
  3. Add Collection Object Citation and search for something that should return results in the Reference Work qcbx
  4. See no results appear
  5. Open the record in a new tab and repeat 4.
  6. See results appear

Can test the same with Taxon Citations in a Taxon query (shown in screenshots)

When in browse in forms, also notice that the reference work qcbx works when rendered as a button (using ku fish db or by editing form definition). It also works in browse in forms in any subview format when accessed via dialog (on a CO, opening taxon, then searching RW in taxon citation subview, shown in third screenshot).

  • use the query combo box search option to add reference works to citations
  • change citation subviews to be rendered button
