Messages arrived on Desktop but not in Android

Bug description

A friend tried to connect with me on Signal and add me to a group, but their message request, initial messages, and group invitation never showed up on my phone. But when I fired up my linked Signal Desktop instance about 36 hours later, the missing messages and invites quickly appeared there and I was able to accept both the one-on-one message request and the group invite. Once I did that, the group finally showed up on my phone, but the one-on-one chat still hasn't.

• Similar symptoms reported by another user a few months ago: Messages never appearing on phone, only desktop Signal-Desktop#7674
• I tried searching my phone for "archived" messages from this user, but did not find any.
• Of the two messages that appear on Desktop but are still missing on my phone, the first was "Sent" at timestamp 1779466033454 and "Received" 1779590059193.

The phone is running GrapheneOS, and I do not have Google Play Services installed. I've been actively using this configuration for several months but this is the first time I've had issues with message delivery.

I'm currently having an issue with receiving push notifications from the Signal app on my Pixel 10 Pro.
However, I'm using the app on a device running GrapheneOS.
I’ve noticed that since the latest updates, the push service is no longer active.
Until now, I've always had the notifications for the push service turned off.
I've turned these notifications back on, but I'm currently not receiving notifications for the active push service.

Previously, if you swiped down the status bar twice and then tapped “X apps are active” at the very bottom, you could see that the Signal app was listed there with the push service enabled.
That’s no longer the case.

The service is also missing when I use the Android work profile and have Google Play Services installed there.

I’ve installed Molly on another Pixel 8 Pro running GrapheneOS and on a tablet running LineageOS.
The app continues to deliver notifications.

On my Linux PC the Signal-App works fine too.

@Hoerli1337 I’m having the same issue as yours on /e/OS without FCM registration. It seems related to this comment, and the issue seems already fixed in a pre-release.
