Is there any way to try out LuaRT without making registry or other changes to my system?

Yes you can:

• Fork the repository and compile LuaRT by yourself (it won't install anything)
• Download the LuaRT 2.2.0 portable zip file available on the LuaRT Community forum : https://community.luart.org/d/568-luart-220-released
