Reduce traffic to Maven repository

Nexus just got implemented new feature doing exactly this:

For this to work, you need to put "prefixes" file in your maven repository at this repository path:
/.meta/prefixes.txt

(hence, to make it available from this URL http://maven.restlet.org/.meta/prefixes.txt as http://maven.restlet.org/ is repository root).

The content of prefix file is -- as it's name says -- "prefixes" found in your repository. These are path prefixes with minimal depth of 2 directory levels (but you can go deeper if you want). It is recommended to list path prefixes down to Maven groupIDs level, this will make this file change very rare (only when your repository receives a new artifact with groupId that never existed in it before). Simply, the prefixes file in your case should list things like these, separated with plain newline:

/org/restlet
/com/restlet
/edu/purdue
... etc

Warning: if you make your prefixes file incomplete (ie. forgot to include existing prefix), you will "mask" that content from Nexuses obeying it, hence, those Nexus instances will never ask for omitted entries, potentially breaking builds of people using those Nexus instances.

Sidenote: I noticed your repository got some "nexus-like" files too. Please remove them (or fix, as in case of archetype catalog), as their presence in non-nexus instance makes no sense, and their content is even completely wrong. Offending files:

Sorry, just noticed I made wrong example. The content of prefixes should be path prefixes, not groupID prefixed. So, example again:

/org/restlet
/com/restlet
/edu/purdue
... etc
