Other compression formats such as XZ

LZ4 and LZO do not have great compression ratios, would be great to add support for others like XZ

It's always somewhere in TODO but I found no compelling reason to do that. The speed:compression ratio for xz is so low that using deltas was slower than refetching everything for our use cases.
