Applying GitHub releases to this repo which will result in tagging the project deliverables with the release version.

We have scheduled releases in most other important repositories (usually every second Wednesday). That would be trivial to set up (even with a custom schedule), if everyone agrees.

I just generally wonder whether we need traditional releases. Since there are no RPMs involved, we can just continuously deliver as we do with our hosted service.

Tagged bootc-image-builder image would be valuable when used in tests. It would be clear which image release was used when troubleshooting test results.

Might be worth tagging the builds with git commit SHAs - this would be still aligned with the continously-delivered strategy while providing stable references.

I'm happy to implement either - monotonically increasing integers or hashes (or git describe syntax).
