What are the plans to release Nitro v3?

[steve-todorov]

Hey,

I was able to find a few discussions around the road map, but they seem to be outdated:

#2324

I was wondering if there's a more up-to-date Nitro v3 road map?
Seems like v3 has been in the works for a while and it is currently in beta.
Is a v3 release somewhere on the near horison? Maybe by the end of this year or even sooner?

I am very new to the Nitro framework, so excuse my ignorance if this was already answered somewhere and I'm not finding it. :)

maybe when vite 8 or vue vapor is ready for production

[pi0]

no it is not related to either at all!

@pi0 can we get a little bit of details on the status / plans in that case?

I know it's going to be done when its done, but it would help for decision makers who would like to adopt nitro v3 to better plan if and how to adopt it in greenfield projects.

Mainly sub deps are being stablized for last minute changes. I don't expect any significiant changes specially for direct use of Nitro between Beta and upcoming RC in few days.

@pi0 i followed Nuxt new pretty closely and it take a while for me to find this post.

May I suggest an issue or a roadmap page in docs? Something like milestone or checklist: "here are n things we are waiting for v3 release". To a regular user, n can be 4, or can be 200.

This can show everyone "we are pretty close to release, just a bit more", or "oh there are still many things to be done" without promising an exact day or timeframe, which can be hard to keep
