Modrinth won't load properly #5009

Please confirm the following.
- I checked the existing issues for duplicate problems
- I have tried resolving the issue using the support portal
- I have ensured my Modrinth App installation is up to date

Describe the bug
For some reason, whenever I open the app, all the images are the broken image icon, the ad that usually plays in the bottom right corner is a "connection was reset" error... and the biggest issue is that when I try to sign into my minecraft account through the app the window for sign in pops up with another "connection was reset" error.

I have been through the other bug fixing steps with someone from the modrinth support team from your discord and they recommended contacting this team... I have completely turned off my antivirus and firewall to check that they aren't interfering... I have updated and properly setup microsoft edge since that's what this app runs through. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app, I have all four installations of java that your settings menu checks for (and they all can be found), I gave the app and edge all the permissions, , and just today I got the message to update the app and so I did. nothing has been helping.
the baffling thing is that I have used this app before on my computer with no issue over a year ago. but only recently reinstalled it
