Why is this connector needed?

Card2Crypto enables users to purchase cryptocurrencies directly using debit or credit cards, bridging the gap between traditional payment systems and blockchain-based assets. Adding Card2Crypto as a connector to Hyperswitch would expand the platform’s capabilities to support fiat-to-crypto transactions, appealing to fintech platforms, crypto exchanges, and Web3 applications that require seamless on- and off-ramp payment solutions. This integration would enhance Hyperswitch’s coverage of emerging financial services and give merchants more flexibility in accepting card-based payments for digital asset purchases.

Additional Information

Card2Crypto supports multiple card networks (Visa, Mastercard) and offers RESTful APIs for payment initiation, transaction status checks, and webhook notifications. Its API documentation is comprehensive and compatible with standard payment flow structures, making integration straightforward within Hyperswitch’s connector framework.

Additionally, Card2Crypto’s focus on crypto purchases makes it a valuable addition for businesses in regions or industries where fiat-to-crypto access is in high demand but limited by existing payment rails.

At the moment, we don't have the capacity to pick this up internally due to ongoing priorities. You can refer to our [Q4 2025 roadmap], particularly under Core Orchestration > New Connector Integrations, along with other in-progress initiatives, to get a sense of where our current focus lies.

Additionally, we already have a backlog of other connector integrations that need to be prioritized for the upcoming quarters as well.
That said, we absolutely welcome community contributions. If you're interested, we encourage you to develop a proof-of-concept integration. Once it's ready, we'll be happy to review it and work with you on getting it merged upstream, provided it aligns well with the overall architecture and quality standards.
