No alarm voltage lipo system osd

Hi everyone, I don't have the low LiPo voltage alarms like on Betaflight in the OSD, how do I activate them on INAV 9 with dji O4 pro ?
I'm talking about the low battery system alarm that appears in the system messages, not the information that flashes statically where it was placed.

They don't exist. There is only the flashing alerts on the battery elements. INAV is not BetaFlight.

The voltage will flash in the OSD if it gets to the levels specified in the configurator. There's no need for a system message. The blinking alerts are visible enough.

It's not a safety issue at all. Did you set up the warning and critical levels? Did you enable the alert in the OSD?

I absolutely disagree with that. When you're in flight, you're not checking the LiPo voltage... A system alarm right in the middle of the screen is necessary, like on Betaflight or ArduPilot. You really don't realize the risks associated with such a simple feature. I see no point in always having to keep an eye on the voltage when a simple alarm could remind you. In short, I understand more and more why INAV will never be used professionally; it's too dangerous, and especially for a team completely inattentive to basic safety. One day, someone will get hit on the head by a fixed-wing aircraft because of this. It's reckless not to implement such a safety feature. Just because you don't need it doesn't mean everyone does. Don't generalize from your own experience. I had everything shut down with a LiPo at 1V per cell because there was no system alarm. It's dangerous. But apparently, you don't understand the concept of safety and danger...

No worries, I'll just set a low voltage alert on the radio like back in the OpenTX days, in the 2000s...😂 25 years behind the times with INAV, it's just crazy to have to go back 25 years to a feature that was lost to everyone but is only making a comeback with INAV because there's no low voltage alert in the system messages. Honestly, you guys are living in the past. Having to resort to radio alerts is just insane...

But that's the point of the blinking alerts. You do not have to keep checking your voltage (though I usually do keep an eye on it throughout the flight). When it starts blinking (because the alert level has been triggered). Your peripheral vision picks up the blinking, calling your attention to the voltage.

As a side note. Even if it was set up as a system message. Chances are you would have still gone down to 1v on your last flight. As you didn't set up the parameters correctly.

Also, don't assume that everyone uses LiPos. A lot of fixed wing pilots don't.

There are safety features for battery voltage. You just didn't set them up to be used!

And while on the matter of safety. Yes, you should be checking your battery voltage during the flight. That is the pilot being safe. Do you think that airline pilots don't periodically check their fuel gauges? That they wait for the empty light to come on? Get real!

First, insulting the developers is not the way to get what you want.

Second -Unless your retinas are inside out, placing it outside the macula should make it MORE noticeable, not less. Did you have the alert flashing in your face and didn't notice it, or you didn't bother to try it before you tried out for a-hole of the month?

Normally, rod cells on the outer retina will very much notice something flashing! Without having it cover up the center of the screen where you need to track detail. Unless you have 22 different things flashing on your OSD.

Actually more so than the cones in the macula - the macula is for slowly analyzing color detail, the rods in the periphery are to alert to unexpected movement (or flashing), because those indicate incoming threats.

Typically we would expect a flashing indicator in the periphery to be as attention-grabbing to a human as a laser pointer is to a cat.

Audible announcements can also be useful, but there's a reason Boeing and Airbus have a lot more lights that can flash than they have voice announcements. Voice announcements are best for providing specific information, such as the altitude count down "200 feet, 100 feet, 50 feet". Flashing in the rod region the best way to grab attention. The voice announcement would be an extra bonus.

Give it a try - assuming you are human and have more or less normal human eyes, you should find flashing in the rod region very noticeable indeed.

L'alerte clignotait-elle devant votre visage sans que vous vous en rendiez compte ? Ou bien n'avez-vous pas pris la peine d'essayer avant de postuler pour le titre de crétin du mois ?

Normalement, les bâtonnets de la rétine externe perçoivent très bien un clignotement ! Sans pour autant masquer le centre de l’écran, là où les détails sont importants. Sauf si 22 éléments différents clignotent simultanément sur votre menu OSD.

En réalité, plus encore que les cônes de la macula : la macula sert à analyser lentement les détails des couleurs, tandis que les bâtonnets en périphérie servent à signaler les mouvements inattendus (ou les clignotements), car ceux-ci indiquent des menaces imminentes.

En règle générale, on s'attendrait à ce qu'un indicateur clignotant en périphérie attire autant l'attention d'un humain qu'un pointeur laser celle d'un chat.

Les annonces sonores peuvent être utiles, mais ce n'est pas un hasard si Boeing et Airbus utilisent davantage de feux clignotants que d'annonces vocales. Ces dernières sont idéales pour fournir des informations précises , comme le décompte de l'altitude : « 200 pieds, 100 pieds, 50 pieds ». Le clignotement au niveau des barres de guidage est le meilleur moyen d'attirer l'attention. L'annonce vocale serait un atout supplémentaire.

Essayez ! Si vous êtes humain et que vous avez des yeux plus ou moins normaux, vous devriez trouver les clignotements dans la région des bâtonnets très perceptibles.

Btw, when you get called out for being a jerk, one great response is "yeah sorry about that". Really there's nothing peculiar about not being too happy about someone being an ass. "Sorry about that, I was excited" is a much more effective response.

I do understand you are illegally flying over people, but that means it's on you to set up your OSD to be safe, and to maintain situational awareness. Being a jerk to me and to Mr D isn't going to get me give up my holiday to do something for you.

Honestly, I'm just reading excuses. With my 6S F1 which could do ~200mph and had 3 minute flight times, I would still have plenty of opportunity to check the battery voltage during the flight. I use that to decide when to land. Not wait for low battery warnings before landing!

You still haven't answered whether or not you had the alert for low voltage enabled or setup correctly.

It also understand if your video cuts out and you're flying at a designed flying field with several other pilots, that could certainly be an issue!

I understand you'd be very focused on the landing, while landing. Why the flashing icon wasn't noticed several minutes earlier is less clear.

A system message is an option. Where there may be a disconnect is that I set mine to let me know when it's time to start flying toward the pattern for landing. As opposed to after it has already damaged the battery. Is this a plane that can only fly for 1-2 minutes, or any reason you wouldn't notice it flashing at 3.2V - 3.4V per cell?

I would want to be at 2.8V for a go-around , which means I'd plan my first approach to be on the ground at 3V for li-ion (if no go-around was needed). Meaning I need to head towards landing at 3.3V or whatever. So that's where I'm missing something about how it got anywhere near 1V without being seen.

Maybe you intended to land at 2.8V, set your warning at 2.8V, but then had to do two go-arounds? That's what I'm not understanding -- why it wouldn't have been flashing for a long time before it got to 1V, or even 2.8V.

I think I've set it up correctly, but it's in the bottom right corner. I've gotten into the habit of putting it there because Betaflight has system messages in the middle of the screen. I haven't found any other settings in the OSD to configure low-voltage alarms.

Je comprends que vous soyez très concentré sur l'atterrissage. En revanche, pourquoi le voyant clignotant n'a pas été remarqué quelques minutes plus tôt reste flou.

Un message système est possible. Le problème vient peut-être du fait que j'ai configuré le mien pour qu'il m'avertit du moment où je dois commencer à voler vers le circuit d'atterrissage, et non après que la batterie soit déjà endommagée. S'agit-il d'un avion dont l'autonomie est limitée à 1 ou 2 minutes ? Y a-t-il une raison particulière pour laquelle vous ne remarqueriez pas le clignotement de la tension à 3,2 V - 3,4 V par cellule ?

Je souhaiterais être à 2,8 V pour une remise de gaz, ce qui signifie que je planifierais ma première approche pour atterrir à 3 V pour la batterie lithium-ion (si aucune remise de gaz n'est nécessaire). Autrement dit, je dois me diriger vers l'atterrissage à 3,3 V environ. C'est là que je ne comprends pas comment la tension a pu descendre aussi bas, approchant les 1 V, sans que personne ne s'en aperçoive.

Peut-être aviez-vous prévu d'atterrir à 2,8 V, réglé votre alerte à 2,8 V, mais avez-vous dû effectuer deux remises de gaz ? C'est ce que je ne comprends pas : pourquoi le voyant n'aurait-il pas clignoté longtemps avant d'atteindre 1 V, voire 2,8 V ?

This is an Atomrc Penguin wing powered by a 6S battery. Its flight time is only 4 to 5 minutes, and during this short flight, I didn't notice the voltage indicator flashing. I'm using a DJI O4 Pro, so the OSD is black and white, and I didn't notice it right away. Previously, I used a Walksnail with a color OSD display, so the indicator must have been more visible. Honestly, if I don't set the LiPo voltage to the center of the screen, I only see it flash very late.
