[fpGUI 2.0.1, Linux] Programs using Cairo no longer work

Sorry to give you extra work, but I have tested my Cairo examples under Linux with fpGUI 2.0.1, and they no longer work. The window doesn't show the expected image and the application is frozen.

I tested with and without AGGPas enabled: the result is the same.

I attach here the examples.

I forgot to say that the examples use units of luipack (and in fact come from that package).

I just applied some fixes to Cairo unit, but was about to remove it, because it's very incomplete, and nobody is supporting it.

Is it worth keeping it?

It's up to you Graeme. For me, I don't really need it. (I don't use it in any project of mine.)

By the way, while waiting for your answer, I took a look at AGGPas examples. The visual result is great! Maybe better than Cairo. I remembered that Martin and you had done the same observation on Lazarus forum years ago.

While I am on AGGPas topic, I saw that you removed AGGPas demos from fpGUI distribution. Wouldn't it be a good idea to make them available somewhere else, with your fork of AGGPas?

I've just tested your fixes. It's better: I have an image and the application no longer freezes. But the drawing is not good. There seems to be size or scaling issue.

While I am on AGGPas topic, I saw that you removed AGGPas demos from fpGUI distribution.

No, just moved out of the fpGUI source code directory. They are now located in extras/aggpas/agg-demos. Granted, I've just moved them, I haven't had time to clean up any build scripts - so not sure how easy it is to compile them right now. I'll make a note to check that soon.

I've done the following:

1. restored the agg_2D.pas to the extras/aggpas directory
2. moved the existing agg and aggpas documentation into extras/aggpas/docs
3. removed the unmaintained and incomplete fpg_cairocanvas.pas to prevent confusion

I think it's okay to close this ticket. If there is anything else, feel free to reopen or create a new ticket.
