I'm writing a toy document management system. As part of that, my schema includes an abstract Document type, extended by each type of document I include.
I have a generic "view document" page. It shows the properties included in the base Document type, and then displays the rest of the properties provided by the extending type.
Here's what I've got so far:
This does not work, but I hope it shows what I'm attempting to do.
For what it's worth, I've read the entirety of the documentation for the Query Builder Generator and I don't see anything that covers this, except for the section on Polymorphism - and while it includes handling for cases where you know the type ahead of time, I would have to manually update that code each time I made a new document type.
