The LP3 music player reads its music metadata from a separate on-device database (I think), rather than reading from the audio file's id3 tags.
Apps like my own Light Music+ read id3 tags, which will drift from the database tags if the latter is ever updated. This command would update the id3 tags to match whatever is on the database.
