Android Fcast sender crashes while Android Fcast receiver (running on a FireTV) is searching for senders

What happened?

I tested Grayjay with a side-loaded Fcast receiver on a FireTV and it worked fine, but while that same receiver is waiting for a connection, if I open the Fcast sender for Android somebody was kind enough to build for me, the sender crashes. I've attached a logcat to the issue. I also rooted around in ADB for info on the device, the TV is based on Android 7.1.2 and uses SDK version 25.

Replication steps

1. Open sender on android first - no crash
2. Open receiver on Android TV
3. Sender crashes

Force quitting the receiver allows the sender to continue functioning, say to connect to a receiver on my Linux PC which does works for the most part.
