Font Resolver can't resolve error font

Hi,
I am developing for a project on azure, therefore using PDFSharp Core, no system font resolver is available and I have implemented my own. It's mostly a dummy, returning the same font for all requests.

It is working when I create a document using PDFSharp Core, however when using MigraDoc I get this error

Error Type: InvalidOperationException Error Message: The font 'Courier New' cannot be resolved for predefined error font. Use another font name or fix your font resolver. There seems to be an issue connected only to the error font. I am creating the font resolver before creating the document

Please add a new line below this line:
// Render document
var xfont = new XFont("Roboto", 8, XFontStyleEx.Regular);

If that line throws, then check your FontResolver.
BTW: Member fontResourceName is never used.

If that line does not throw, then please use the IssueSubmissionTemplate and give us a project we can test under the Debugger.

Maybe you just renamed your project or forgot to embed the font as a resource.

BTW: You have the resource as a stream, copy it to a MemoryStream, then copy that to an Array. If the resource stream reports its length, then you can eliminate one step by creating a MemoryStream with the correct buffer size and calling GetBuffer() for that stream. Or just read that stream into a byte array of correct size.

Thanks for your advice, The name 'XFontStyleEx' does not exist in the current context. I am using PDFSharpCore so I assume i should change it to this?

That line does not throw.

Since i had to change from XFontStyleEx to XFontStyle though, got me wondering, since the error trace mentions calling CreateFont with an XFontStyleEx in the parameters. Could this be causing the issue?

This is the PDFsharp repo. If you are using PdfSharpCore, then ask your question in the PdfSharpCore repo.

MigraDoc uses XFontStyleEx.Regular and if your code only works without "Ex" then you have the wrong version of PDFsharp or are using a port of PDFsharp.

Please use the IssueSubmissionTemplate if you think we should take a look.

Thank you, I was not aware that PDFsharpCore is a separate port.
References to the core build of PDFsharp in https://docs.pdfsharp.net/PDFsharp/Topics/Fonts/Font-Resolving.html made me assume that PDFsharpCore was being refered.
I now switched to the actual PDFsharp implemenation, where my implementation of the font resolver is working. Maybe it would be possible to mention in the docs that PDFsharpCore is a separate project not to be confused with the core build of PDFsharp
