I’ve started actively working on this issue and pushed a commit that changes the default backend from safe to docling (23f7b73) referencing this issue.

I’d be happy to continue with the remaining points (batching increase, warning about core dumps) and open a PR shortly.

Could you please assign this issue to me so I can proceed under the correct ownership?

I’ve carefully gone through this issue and the related configuration defaults.
I understand what needs to be changed and how it may impact existing behavior.
I’ve set up the project locally and started investigating the issue.
I’ll share a draft PR once I have a working fix for review.

I’d like to work on this issue and submit a clean PR with proper testing and documentation if needed.
