v0.3: Reposition FlowGrid around rationale-heavy non-coding knowledge work #1

Description

@dlxeva

Owner decision

FlowGrid should be positioned as a local project-state context engine for rationale-heavy, non-coding knowledge work.

Target users:

  • operations
  • marketing
  • creative
  • strategy
  • research
  • solution work

These users do not usually produce absolute answers. Their work is to make a judgment defensible through long reasoning chains, trade-offs, reversals, and reviewable assumptions.

Why this matters

The current repository already points in this direction, but the top-level product language still emphasizes local project protocol and handoff workflow.

The product should make rationale continuity and bounded context explicit.

Scope

Update:

  • README.md first screen
  • README.zh-CN.md first screen
  • docs/protocol.md positioning section
  • docs/host-usage.md product framing section

Proposed wording

English:

FlowGrid is a local project-state context engine for rationale-heavy, non-coding knowledge work.

It helps operators, marketers, creatives, strategists, researchers, and solution professionals turn messy AI work sessions into reviewed, traceable, and resumable project context.

Chinese:

FLG 是面向推导型非代码知识工作的本地项目状态上下文引擎。

它帮助运营、营销、创意、策略、研究和方案类工作者,把混乱的 AI 协作过程转成经过审核、可追溯、可恢复的项目上下文。

Acceptance criteria

  • README first screen reflects the new positioning
  • Chinese README reflects the new positioning
  • Product boundary still excludes coding-agent repo context systems
  • Language stays focused on rationale-heavy work instead of generic memory or generic compression
