Persistency between sessions

I'd like to continue interactive conversation with AI without having to repeat all info of last session.
AI suggests to paste last prompt but by terminal doesn't seem not so good.

A way could be to save last session in the log file using --log option.
But on the next session we again have to copy and paste within the terminal.

I tried something like:

cat lastsession.log | tgpt -i --provider pollination --log newsession.log

but doesn't seem to work in interactive or multi line mode. Likely due to the fact that the pipe expects a complete command, and in interactive mode we not yet complete the bash command...

Any suggests?

I tried using --preprompt option, maybe it is just for that scope:

tgpt -i --provider gemini -key $GEMINI_API_KEY --preprompt "$(head -n 4998 lastsessionThere.log)"

There's a limit:
it can load about 131.000 characters, if the file is longer returns an error "too many arguments" o r something similar.

Question:

• is this a tgpt limit or is it due to some other cause, for instance ChatGPT engin limit, but I tested both with pollinations server and gemini, so engine should differ... while the limit on preprompt characters amount seems the same (131.000 max).
